[Ppnews] Support Hugo "Yogi" Pinell

[Political Prisoner News]

Dear Friends,

i just this past Sunday visited with Brother Hugo "Yogi" Pinell at 
the California State Dungeon and Torture Chamber at Pelican 
Bay.  Brother Pinell remains unbowed, strong physically and mentally 
and spiritually an example of how resilient the best of humanity 
is.  He sends his warmest regards to all brothers and sisters in 
struggle.  He will be celebrating his 64th birthday in a few months 
in his 44th year incarcerated.

His parole hearing will be coming up on 14 January 2009 at Pelican 
Bay in Crescent City.  The State has appointed an attorney for him 
who is from Crescent City area.  Hugo is most concerned about his Mom 
who is now 85 years old and has recently lost her only 
sister.  Hugo's presence home would be of tremendous comfort but we 
all know the State has it's tentacles wrapped around Brother Pinell 
and wants to continue punishing him for events that occurred back in 
the 60's when he along with George Jackson and others stood-up 
against this prison-industrial society.
