[Ppnews] Support Parole for Theresa Cruz

Dear friends,
Most of you are familiar with the case of Theresa Cruz (if you aren't you 
can get some web information through Google).  Theresa's 10th Parole Board 
hearing is coming up unexpectedly soon on November 30th.  Below is a letter 
from Theresa explaining what kind of  support she needs before the hearing.
Primarily she needs people to sign the attached form letter or write one of 
their own.  She also would greatly appreciate any donations towards her 
legal expenses.

This year Theresa no longer has the help of her mother Theresa Azochar who 
died of cancer last December 2004.  Her mother supported Theresa in many, 
many ways through all of her previous Board hearings which makes it even 
more important this year for all the rest of us to help give her strength 
in whatever ways we can.

If you have any questions, please let me know.  Otherwise, print out the 
letter, distribute it to friends and be sure to mail your copies to the 
addresses below.

I would first like to thank you for your continued support for my release.
I am grateful to everyone for all that they have done for me in the past
and for giving me the strength to go forward.

I have been informed that I will be going before the Parole Board on
November 30, 2005. I am asking for your help once again. I need public
pressure. Great public pressure and all we have is 90 days to do it. Notice
was barely given to me this week. I am asking for you to please send in a
letter to the Board of Prison Terms letting them know you are a voting and
tax paying citizen and you are supportive of my release. If you have
numerous family members, please allow them to read the attached information
and if they support release, please have them each sign their form letter
or please write their own individual letter. Also, please send me a copy
for my records.

I have been going before the Parole Board on one year reviews for the past
9 years. Last year I had my victim's support and Trial Judge's support and
was told to return in one year. You do not know how much my children and I
need your support. Public pressure is so important and only you can build
public pressure by allowing others to be aware that this is happening and I
am still in prison. Only your voice can change it. I have been eligible for
parole since 1994. I have been incarcerated since 1991 (15 years).

I am trying to retain Attorney Linda Buchaulter once again. If you can give
some kind of donation to help me with legal fees it will be sincerely
appreciated.

If you send me a donation to help with my legal fees, please remember my
institution number (w-40058) must be on the money order (NOTE: must be
money order or bank check) along with my name. If you are writing a letter,
please send me a copy at my address. (NOTE: Also mention Theresa Cruz's
institution number in the letter.)
