On Wednesday Feb. 16th please come to court for Bashir Hameed and Abdul Majid

Bashir Hameed and Abdul Majid are the "Queens Two," past members of the 
Black Panther Party convicted of the murder of two police officers in 
Queens, NY in 1981. It took a full three trials to convict them, because 
juries wouldn't agree to find them guily of murder in the first two trials. 
In the third trial, the prosecution managed to exclude most of the Black 
jurors in order to win the case. That exclusion is now the basis of an 
ongoing appeal by the Queens Two of their conviction.

There will be a hearing on this appeal on Wednesday morning, February 16th. 
It is critical that we fill the courtroom. This will be the last chance at 
any legal remedy for the Queens Two, and we want to make certain that the 
court recognizes that there is extensive community support for Bashir and 
Abdul.

PLEASE COME TO 40 CENTRE ST. in lower Manhattan (the older federal
courthouse), 18th floor, at 10:00 a.m. The argument may not take place 
right at 10; when the case is called it will probably occupy less than a 
half hour.
